Each member of our team specialises in a particular field and offers a dedicated service to our clients to ensure the very best in representation. Based in Torquay and Newton Abbot, we cover local police stations and courts including Torquay police station, Newton Abbot Magistrates' Court and the Crown Courts at Exeter and Plymouth. After 20 years at our much-loved office at 238 Union Street, we have moved our Torquay operation to a smart serviced office by the coach station at Lymington Road, where we have excellent facilities for staff and clients.

We deal with all offences, including motoring and regulatory matters such as trading standards prosecutions. Philip (qualified 1986) and was in at the start of Bay Advocates as a partner having previously been a partner elsewhere in Torbay. Phil has a loyal client following which is a tribute to his skills as an advocate and lawyer. He is based in Torquay. Phil is a devoted family man, church goer and highly knowledgeble about sci-fi and Star Trek in particular.
Your Rights

If you are arrested for a criminal offence, then you should be cautioned immediately. The usual caution is You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you fail to mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say will be given in evidence. Once you are under caution the police are entitled to interview you, but you do not have to answer their questions. You do have a right to have a solicitor present during any interview and it pays to use this right.
