After paying Lawcomm Solicitors for conveyancing in Feb 2022, they failed to diligently check that HTB had removed their charge from my title deeds correctly. I informed Lawcomm of this failure on 22/05/25 when it was brought to my attention and as it stands, on 03/07/25 this still hasnt been removed.

Lawcomm have failed to offer a formal response to my formal complaint within 28 days, as per their complaints procedure, further destroying any confidence in this firm to carry out their duties effectively. I would not use this company for any conveyancing needs in the future due to the levels of incompetency they have repeatedly shown throughout this process.

Initially I had a good experience with Lawcomm so I used them again to remortgage and have had the reverse experience. I have had to chase for information at every stage and now months after completion I have been contacted twice for retrospective payments because of their accounting errors. This has included for items that they had missed off the initial completion statement completely or for which they had allocated to the wrong person.

Each time when I made a payment, I asked for confirmation of receipt, which I received so I considered the matter closed. To receive letters telling me that I had not paid and made errors, multiple times, has been really poor customer service and I really would not recommend them to anyone again. Save yourself some stress.

Exceptional service from Michelle and Trish, they kept us updated continuously on our house purchase and sale, even through some difficult stages we were kept in the loop and made to feel like nothing was too much trouble. They made our buying experience a positive one and we always had a point of contact even through annual leave. Donna coverred and kept us updated, we never felt alone. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
