I was strongly recommended Holmes and Hills by a family member who has done a lot of business with them and still does but sadly I found I was constantly chasing them and important documents were missing when we got to the point of being ready to exchange contracts. We were first time buyers and did not feel like we got the guidance we needed throughout the process. I will not be recommending Holmes and Hills to any of my friends or family and I won't be going to them when it comes to writing our wills or anything we may need in future.

Outstanding service from Sarah and Jessica! They have both helped us with the stressful process of selling and buying a property. We would highly recommend Holmes & Hills for conveyancing. They handled the sale of our property and our onward purchase and were professional, approachable, friendly and knowledgable. Emails and calls were responded to quickly and there always someone to speak to on the phone. We didnt have the 'smooth' move everyone hopes for, but here we are writing this in our new house because we had the best solicitor to guide us through. Thank you so much!

Throughout my house purchase they walked me through every step, explained everything and where the only firm who made us aware of other charges within their initial quote (from developers solicitor). Couldn't recommend enough. It has taken me a while to finally take the time to write this review but I couldn't not. I called around many places before deciding to use Holmes and Hill, but I did not regret my decision. What made the decision easier was how polite they were when I first called. They were patient, listened without interrupting and put my mind at ease.

My dealings in particular were with Lawrence Pearce I can't express how professional, kind and caring he is as a person, but he's also incredible at what he does! I couldn't fault him, not once. Not only was his work spot on, he was understanding, thoughtful, tactile and efficient! Thankyou.

Shambles. Had to go into reception five times because of things they had forgotten or failed to do. Receptionist on ground floor, only photocopier on third floor so she couldn't use it as can't leave reception. All other staff too grand to help her so it just didn't get done, in spite of solicitor instructing that it is urgent. Solicitor found a detail that made us doubt going through with house purchase.

Thought at least she seems knowledgeable, and we wouldn't have found it. We asked for further information and were told "oh sorry, I made a mistake, didn't mean to send that ignore this report and I'll send the correct one." Someone else's confidential information given to us in error. Overpriced, charged extra as they were prioritising our case.(Imagine their usual standard). Honestly told us absolutely nothing at all that we didn't already know. Save time, save money, don't use.

I am going through the process of purchasing a property using another solicitor and there was one issue which was brought up by my solicitor which he wasn't able to specifically answer which needed planning legislation. So I found this solicitor online and spoke to a lovely woman called Holy who not only patiently answered my concern but also escalated it to the solicitor called Mike who later called me and answered my query.

So to confirm, both of these lovely people put my concerns to bed. For this service alone, I will advise any one to use this firm as they are committed to genuinely help clients with their best interests at heart and don't treat you like a business transaction, especially considering that we are in the middle of a pandemic.

I'm not going to just talk about H & H's excellent service. Nor about their competitive prices. To me these are normal expectations. Instead, I'm going to highlight two things: brilliant communications and outstanding professionalism. I must also use the opportunity and say that Holi made all the difference for us. Thanks Holli
