SP Law was established in 2005 and was originally based on Stimpson Avenue in Northampton. The firm then moved into newly refurbished offices at 110 Whitworth Road, the former Conservative Club building. We were the first firm in Northamptonshire to achieve the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Standard (CQS) for excellence in home buying.
Our specialist Court of Protection Solicitors are based in Northampton and Wellingborough and are able to provide advice on the process of applying to become a Financial Deputy for a family member. This is an option when that family member has not already made a Power of Attorney to deal with their property and financial affairs and no longer has the capacity to grant a Power of Attorney.
Our specialist criminal injuries compensation Solicitors are based in Northampton and Wellingborough. The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) are a government organisation that can pay compensation to people who have been physically or mentally injured because they were the blameless victim of a violent crime such as assault or abuse.
Our specialist employment law Solicitors are based in Northampton and Wellingborough and act for both employers and employees. Drafting and advising on settlement/compromise agreements (Our fees are generally in the range of 250 - 500 plus VAT and are typically paid by the employer). Undertaking disciplinary processes and meetings (a number of which we have held at our offices).

Amazing Service! We are so grateful that we found Sejal. The very fact that we have never met her in person (due to covid), but have only communicated via phone and email, and she manages to possess such warmth, care and kindness is everything you need when someone is dealing with your life matters. Do not hesitate to choose the SP Law Firm to represent you in your legal cases. My two boys were denied by the Home Office when I filed in for them to join me. I was frustrated after spending thousands of Pounds on their application. However, I found the SP Law Firm on Google and I used them to appeal my case. The Home Office reversed their decision to deny my boys from joining me after an appeal was submitted. Finally, the Home Office issued by boys their visa and they would be joining me in January 2022.

This is my first time using SP law and they have been so Professional in executing the immigration services l needed from the beginning to End. Buying a new home can be and often is a stressful business. However, Mark Normansell and Karen Lacey were always there and ready to discuss every aspect of our purchase. They were professional and yet human. They put themselves out to help us achieve a quick sale (thus saving us 12,000 in stamp duty) and were always available by phone with advice and encouragement. I cannot praise them enough for getting us through a complicated purchase with ease.
