Our solicitors provide guidance on landlord obligations for property maintenance and deposit protection. We advise on legal rights for tenants facing disrepair and assist in documenting evidence for claims under UK housing legislation.

We secure financial redress for tenants affected by disrepair, including damages for health impacts and property damage. Our success fee model ensures costs remain proportionate to recovered amounts under no win no fee agreements.
Landlord Accountability
We hold landlords accountable for statutory repair obligations, including structural issues and habitability standards. Legal action compels landlords to address damp, leaks, and heating failures while ensuring tenant protections under housing law.

Questions
What housing disrepair issues can I claim for?
We handle claims for structural defects, damp/mould, leaks, heating failures, and vermin infestations. Landlords must address these under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Fitness for Habitation Act.
How much compensation could I receive?
Compensation depends on damage severity and landlord negligence. We've secured amounts ranging from £1,000 to £50,000, plus mandatory property repairs, for clients with valid disrepair claims.
Will my landlord evict me for making a claim?
No. UK law prohibits retaliatory evictions for legitimate disrepair claims. We provide legal protection to ensure tenants can pursue compensation without fear of unlawful eviction.
What costs are involved in a claim?
Our no win no fee model means no upfront costs. If successful, we deduct a 25% success fee from compensation. Unsuccessful claims incur no charges provided full cooperation is maintained.
How long does the claims process take?
Most cases resolve within 6-12 months. We prioritise urgent issues like heating failures, with interim repair orders possible. Case complexity and landlord cooperation affect timelines for compensation recovery.
Can I claim for health issues caused by disrepair?
Yes. We pursue compensation for health impacts from damp/mould and inadequate heating. Medical evidence links these issues to landlord negligence, strengthening claims under the Fitness for Habitation Act.
