We're a North West based legal services practice, offering advice and guidance 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We specialise in residential conveyancing; family matters, such as divorce, finances and children law; wills and probate administration as well as personal injury litigation. We also act for clients who require a criminal defence solicitor as well as businesses needing advice on commercial property law.

We have several offices stretching across the North West: two in Bolton and other offices in Atherton, Blackpool, Bury, Chester, Farnworth, Horwich, Middleton and Westhoughton.

Our History

William Russell set up his legal practice in Bolton in 1887. The son of a local timber merchant, he quickly gained a reputation for being an open, honest and fair legal practitioner. Because of this, it wasn't long before he attracted the business of large clients, such as the Bolton Union Permanent Building Society, one of the forerunners of the Building Society movement. A public spirited individual who was an avid supporter of local charities, William Russell also contributed greatly to local affairs.
