Services
To maintain Social Distancing, we will be dealing with matters by phone, email and post. We have adapted our business to ensure we can continue to provide our full range of legal services whilst maintaining everyone's safety. We are not seeing clients at our office. We are all working remotely and have full remote access to our office systems, so that we can continue to provide our full range of legal services. Post can be sent to our office as usual. Our post is redirected, so please bear in mind it may take a little longer to arrive than usual.
Whilst our practice has had numerous incarnations over the past 175 years, today the practice is carried on under the name of Kelly Luft Stanley and Ashton, the name it has maintained for over 49 years. Previously located for over 70 years in Athol Street opposite the Old Courthouse, in 2004 following the relocation of the Isle of Man Courts of Justice the firm chose to relocate to improved premises opposite the new Court buildings.
Jason Stanley is a partner in the firm. Born and educated in the Isle of Man, Jason studied Law at Manchester University before taking the English Law Society Final Examination at Chester College of Law and returning to the Isle of Man to take the Manx Bar Examinations. Called to the Manx Bar in 1991, Jason has an enviable breadth of knowledge in a wide range of areas of Isle of Man law.
Our offices at 2 Sydney Mount, Douglas Isle of Man are conveniently located opposite the Isle of Man Courts of Justice, Deeds and Land Registry, the Registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages, and the Isle of Man Companies Registry. We are close to the Aircraft Registry and Shipping Registry. You can find us at 2 Sydney Mount, which is at the top of Prospect Hill at the traffic light junction of Bucks Road and Circular Road. Opposite us are the Isle of Man Courts of Justice, and Standard Bank. Next door to us are the Columba Club and ITEX.
We can help you to take out a grant of Probate in the Isle of Man, to enable you to deal with the estate of an Isle of Man resident, or to collect in the Isle of Man assets of a person who has died elsewhere. We will be happy to provide as little, or as much, help as you need - whether it be a simple meeting to discuss the general processes involved, or carrying out the complete administration of the estate.
