Harris Fowler

I chose Harris Fowler after seeing their advert on television and my initial contact with Jaqqui Collings was friendly and caring and I was confident that I had chosen well. I had a serious fall at a leading supermarket resulting in a broken hip and two weeks in hospital. This was almost 18 months ago and I am still suffering the Affects. During my claim I was dealt with by several different people and the result was my case was referred to the directors who decided they felt the case could not be won.

I received this decision in writing and I felt so disappointed I wrote and asked if this could be reconsidered. The only reply I received was that they were not willing to risk their reputation I felt if this had gone to court it would have been found in my favour. So my life changing injury was too big a risk for Harris Fowler to represent me.

Huw didn't seem overly interested in taking on my clinical negligence case, he huffed and puffed a lot and said how difficult cosmetic surgery cases are. I felt like I was wasting mine and his time and he didnt fill me with positivity that they could win my case. Huw said he was sending across an email but I didnt receive it, heard from his Secretary 2 weeks later but by then I'd already gone to Slee Blackwell Solicitors signed consent and they'd written a witness statement for me, totally different experience!

Critical: Professionalism A car drove into me, Harris Fowler's in Taunton accepted my case, unfortunately I was strung along for years. I had to sort my own medical treatment out, janine east was supposed to help, hopefully this doesn't happen to other people.

Re. Personal Injury Claim I've used many legal firms personally and for business but Harris Fowler is the worst by far. I used Harris Fowler for my accident and injury claim in August 2019. Repeatedly had to provide the same information, couldn't get through to them, despite leaving numerous messages. Very poor service. After one year requesting an update was informed in August 2021 that my case had been closed the previous year, hadn't even bothered to inform me.

They advertise that they will take on your case on a no win no fee basis but fail to advertise that they will only take on cases that they are guaranteed to win otherwise they will drop your case without any warning but still intend to recoup their costs if you use another legal firm. I was verbally informed today by Jamie Rumble that they do not take on cases unless they believe they have more than 30% success.

The other party who reversed into my parked vehicle in a flow of traffic admitted liability and breach of duty of care but they still dropped my case without a valid reason, even though I'm sure that I have a good chance of winning my case. In a letter which I have received from Harris Fowler today, they informed me that I have less than 50% of winning my case and if I continue my claim with another legal firm and win, they intend to recoup costs for any work carried out, so I doubt another legal firm will wish to take up my case.

So they intend to recoup monies for work another firm will be doing on my behalf, which is an insult. Now I've been left with little time to find another firm to represent me. Very poor service, I do not recommend them and would not wish anyone else be treated the way I have. Be aware don't be fooled by Harris Fowler's false advertising claims.

If somebody called Emily Newman tries to represent you RUN for the hills, I have never dealt with a more lazy, unprofessional, can't be bothered person and lost money because this silly little girl couldn't be bothered to do her job probably, when confronted about this and her failure to gather the correct evidence and do her job properly it replied "that's my fault then"

Critical: Responsiveness I Havent heard anythung since last year, My case has been going on for over a year and being not responsive is awful.

Do not use this firm of solicitors. My case is currently being handle by them and i am having the worst experience possible. Abby Pearson and Simon Bramwell are both incompetent and lazy. All other reviews saying this firm is good are complete lies.

I cannot fault the work this company has done for me. Amazing communication throughout and never pushed me into an my decision. My solicitor was so open and honest which was lovely and really made me feel comfortable. Never had any false hopes, was as expected!
