I instructed this firm to handle a very simple remortgage of my tenanted property in London because the firm appeared on the panel of my mortgage company and because Bird & Co advertised themselves as providing efficient services for expats. I wish I had not. Bird & Co's conveyancing team were slow, unresponsive and did not deal efficiently at all with the matter.

The only reason I was able to complete the matter was because of the amazing service provided by my mortgage brokers. Bird & Co's service did not improve despite my sending emails to the partner in charge and they did not answer, in any substantive way, the complaint I lodged with them after my matter had completed. I would definitely not recommend this firm for any conveyancing matters.

Paul was fast, efficient, professional, friendly service. I have received great advise and support from him that lead to a smooth and fast process. I will take this occasion to thank him once again. I would certainly recommend him anytime.

Bird and Co did a fantastic job of reviewing all the search documents and querying the sellers solicitors. They did work very closely with the estate agent to resolve the open issues and made the completion smooth and hassle free. They did not prioritise my file initially, but once I started following up they were fully on it and finished it very quickly. I had a less-than-adequate experience while settling my HTB using Bird & Co services. I managed to settle on time but I never felt that this is achievable until it was done. The communication with my lawyer was extremely poor and every time I asked for details I felt that I am being pushed back with dry, unwelcoming answers. I had the feeling that they don't have time for me and they are doing me a favor rather than a job that I fully paid for. Did I get my job done? yes. Was it a good experience? No.

Would I use them again? Absolutely not. Value for money? No, I have actually chosen them because they had the highest charge and I assumed this meant they will give me the best service. Their sales rep was fantastic and she was the only person responding to my emails and inquiries in a timely manner. The lawyer was something else though. My case was eventually assigned to a conveyancing assistant who managed to get the job done. She and the sales rep are the only reason I am rating this as 2 stars instead of 1. Honestly, I hated every bit of this experience.

Given the stamp duty holiday this was always going to be a longer process than normal. However when the required deadline was imminent Bird&Co acted swiftly and the sale was complete. During the process Bird&Co always responded and acted on instruction promptly. So much better than the other sols in this process.
