There's a saying that moving house is one of the most stressful things anyone can do. When you're making one of the biggest purchases of your life, it's not hard to see why moving homes has been given a bad rap. There are a number of factors to consider and risks to weigh up, and all of the parts seem to be moving at once.
Whether you're a new homeowner, you've been settled in your property for a number of years, or you're reviewing your investment portfolio, remortgaging may be something you need to consider to ensure you're getting the best value from your home loan. Unless you're the proud owner of a Lamborghini, your property loan is likely the biggest finance you've ever had against your name, which is why it's important to get a mortgage that fits your needs now.Remortgaging can have the advantage of securing you a better deal or releasing equity from your property, if done correctly.
There are a number of reasons why you may wish to transfer the ownership of a property to someone else, whether because of the birth of a child, because of a relationship breakdown, or because you're looking for ways to minimise the amount of payable Inheritance Tax on your estate. Our property solicitors can talk you through your options to ensure you understand the benefits or risks of each method and help you decide the best approach. If you own a property, you will hold the legal title of the building or land - or sometimes both.
We understand that costs are important and we review our fees on a regular basis, so we can make sure we are always competitive and offer the best value for your money. We typically work on a fixed fee basis, so that you know what the fees will be for your transaction from the outset, providing you with an individual cost estimate, so that there are no hidden surprises.

Lawrence Hamblin is representing the sellers in my transaction and they are rubbish. We were supposed to exchange today and instead the seller's solicitor left the office at 2:30pm for the weekend. Nevermind not responding to inquiries for a month. Absolute piss take. Stay away if you want a good service. I'm an inch away from throwing the whole sale away.

My partner is currently using these "solicitors" while one will say you can use this, the other will ring back and say no you can't use this as we can't find it on google! Professional? No!

Called and asked for the cost of signature witnessing and was told 5 per document. Went there, got the signing done and was told it's 5 per signature not per document so was not very happy! shouldn't be giving potential clients wrong price over the phone.
