I approached Seatons after being recommended, to write my will. A young lad there. James, took my details and supposedly drafted the document. After a week or so I received a package from them, addressed to me, but containing half of the documents in another customers name! (That's so reassuring that they send clients documents to other clients. Mrs Elaine Hall must be so happy!) Anyway, I was willing to overlook it, on the basis that maybe a receptionist made the mistake.

So I asked for them to send all of the documents in my name. (Surely not too much to ask?). Some three months have passed, no sign of my documents. maybe they just do not care. But wait, they do care, they have sent three letters chasing me to complete. so they can get money out of me! They do care about something.

I have been satisfied with them service and I really appreciate them for everything. They help me to buy a house and for me was first time, and I didn't know anything about this. I engaged Seatons Solicitors to organise the sale of my property without using an estate agent. From the outset I found them extremely informative, knowledgeable and approachable. I am always hearing complaints about solicitors being slow to inform their clients but this was not the case. We had a main solicitor dealing with our transaction however, there were several other members of staff ready to inform or answer questions on her behalf. I would highly recommend Seatons Solicitors for any legal transactions.

We used Seatons to sell and buy our house. Initially they were great and the value for money was really good. We soon realised that there was a reason why they were so cheap. the service was pretty poor. Slow, unfriendly, very poor communication. They really held up our sale with their lack of knowledge. Our sale was complicated with it being a shared ownership scheme, so there were more parties involved with the hold up, but the whole thing was a total nightmare and incredibly stressful.

We felt like we were put at the lowest priority all the time, and constantly fobbed off. I imagine the service would have been better if they weren't so busy during the stamp duty break. Hopefully others wouldn't have the same experience and it was a one off. I certainly wouldn't recommend them though and would rather have paid more for a more professional service.
