Questions
What does a personal injury lawyer do?
Our lawyers assist clients in pursuing claims for injuries caused by accidents not their fault. We provide legal advice, gather evidence, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court if needed.
How long does a personal injury claim take?
Cases may take 6 months to several years, depending on complexity. Straightforward claims often settle faster, while severe injuries requiring long-term assessments take longer.
What are my rights if injured at work?
You may claim compensation if your injury resulted from employer negligence, such as unsafe conditions or inadequate training. Report the incident and seek legal advice promptly.
How are medical negligence claims resolved?
Claims involve gathering evidence of substandard care, negotiating with defendants, and securing compensation for pain, financial losses, and future care needs through settlement or court.
What is the Court of Protection?
It is a specialist court that appoints deputies to manage affairs for individuals lacking mental capacity. We assist families in deputyship applications and financial management.
Do I pay legal fees if my claim fails?
No. We operate on a no-win, no-fee basis, meaning you pay nothing upfront and no legal fees if your claim is unsuccessful.

The Scott Rees team dealt with my case for over a period of nearly a year, and I have no hesitation recommending them. Whenever I needed to speak to someone they were available and helpful and prompt, and have given me great advice throughout. Signing and accessing documents was easy, I was always clear about my responsibilities and each stage of the process was properly explained. Special thanks to Lucy and Lee who were there to help me throughout the process.

We used Scott Rees to complete on our recent property. They have been the best solicitors out of the 4 we have used in the last 8 years. We found Sarah and Jack brilliant. They knew the answers, were very responsive and professional. We've never used the same solicitors twice as they have always been terrible in the past but we've defiantly use these guys again! Thanks to the whole team!

A special thank you to Rebecca Thorpe, Gary Milligan and the team for helping me obtain a settlement which I am extremely happy with and couldn't be more pleased with.

Absolutely useless, so unprofessional I've been passed form one file case manager to another over the last 18months each as useless as the next. Basically zero contact throughout having to case and case to get any answers on what they are doing. Obviously they were informed of what happened and was told that it should be a pretty open and shut case. I knew I should of seen the warning signs when the hadn't even noted the correct details of the case then tried to fob me off with they have two cases with the same name and aload of other rubbish to try and cover up their mistakes.
Then out of the blue I then get a letter to say they aren't going to proceed.18months later. After not bothering to even contact witnesses or collect doctors records. By the looks of it they are only interested in cases they haven't got to do much for. Avoid this firm as they could of potentially lost me my claim due to their negligence.

I used Scott Rees & Co for my personal injury claim. From start to finish their team was excellent in communicating with me and explaining every step of my claim. Couldn't have picked a better company. In perticular a solicitor named Rachel Topper handled most of my claim and was always polite, caring and efficient in her work. Written by Callum Temple
