He then went into Partnership with Frances James Churchill to create the firm of "Hewett & Churchill" and then later "Hewett & Pim" with Henry Ernest Pim. Mr Hewett died in 1939, but not before leaving a considerable amount of land to the local councils. You can still see his name popping up on a few road names and public parks in the Reading area.
