We think it's a great place to work. If it's a good place to work then the staff are happy; if they're happy they'll generally give better service to our clients. Then you get into a virtuous spiral where happier clients refer to their friends who come and use our happy staff until eventually we all skip into the sunset holding hands.
We're always happy to see our clients at either our Sutton (Low Street) or Mansfield (Regent Street) office. However, in light of current circumstances we would kindly ask that if you are feeling unwell or have been asked to self-isolate that you not visit any of our offices. And finally if you want to contact us by carrier pigeon we'd recommend you send it to the top room at the Sutton office - we seem to get a lot of pigeons outside that window but we've yet to find one with a message on it's foot.
We have a structured expansion programme so that we are able to do all the work we are being asked to do, and so are on the lookout for good people to come and join us. We believe in creating a great place to work, because everything flows from that. Happier staff give better service, better service means happier clients, who will use us more and tell their friends.

It seems like we've been writing beginners guides since we started doing conveyancing. It's not surprising really - there are so many unusual terms and weird expression used in the conveyancing process that it must seem like a complete mystery to anyone coming to it for the first time. We've therefore tried to pull together all the conveyancing information into one place. My case was handled brilliantly by Emma Scollick and Georgie Guest. It was a very stressful divorce case and I was buying my ex husband out of our house. We had to complete within a certain deadline or the courts would order a forced sale of the house. Emma and Georgie handled everything so efficiently, making a stressful situation a lot less difficult. Thank you both so much.

I was placed with Fidler and Pepper by my mortgage broker for a remortgage.
It was expertly handled by Chloe Foley and Leah Bull, who were very patient with me as I had to locate documents for them relating to the remortgage whilst I was working away at sea.
Communication was great and timely and I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again myself.

Very poor service on probate side, minimal responses if they decided to respond. Very disappointing considering what they charge. Its bad enough when you need this service to navigate you through processes after the loss of a loved one or loved ones.

Fantastic experience end to end! Sohail and Lyndsey took great care of my wife and I. We have recently just used Fidler & Pepper as our solicitors for selling our home and our onward purchase and today we have exchanged contracts!

We've just completed on our remortgage and the process was really easy and stress free.

We were looked after by Emma Scollick & Georgie Guest who were prompt whenever we had questions and chased us in a courteous manner when they needed to! They kept us updated throughout and there was nothing else we could have asked for.

A lot of the information is captured through an App which may be off-putting at first but it actually made everything really simple. You could view what stage you were at in the process and it pings when you move through. It gave us that peace of mind knowing that things were moving!

Excellent, efficient service! From the time our offer was accepted to completion was 12 weeks. Everything was done with ease and there was communication throughout the whole process. I used Fidler & Pepper to complete on my first home as per recommended by my mortgage advisor and found it to be really stressful due to their lack of communication and poor poor service. As a first time buyer I had absolutely no idea about the process and each time I asked the solicitor for more info they were defensive and quite rude like I should already know this.

Communication was not great and I was always doing the chasing, took them forever to reply and when they did it was all 1 worded answers like they were reading off a script. We eventually managed to exchange & complete within 24 hours after waiting 1month just because the seller had a deadline. It felt as if no one had my back but we got there eventually I guess. Please do your research before using their service.

Estate Administration - this firm was appointed by the Executor to administer a relatively simple estate. We are now approaching 4.5 years and there is no end in sight. Despite our own (beneficiaries) solicitor contacting them regularly to request updates the fee earners familiar with the case are always in a meeting or unavailable and do not return phone calls or e-mails.

Every promise to respond to our solicitors by a certain date have been broken and when our solicitor tries to contact them the case responsible solicitor is AWOL; even our solicitors efforts to contact the Managing Partner fail! And, as other reviews have stated the costs have soured way in excess of what was originally quoted. If you want an estate settled professionally avoid at all costs because you could do a better job yourself!

The worst service I could have ever imagined receiving from start to finish! To get hold of anyone is next to impossible, cases handlers changed without being told, only helpful receptionist was Jackie, who I only spoke to within the last week of my case. The rudest company I have ever dealt with! I can appreciate how busy the company is and wait times can be slightly longer than anticipated however when calling to get updates as they do not reply to emails within 3 days sometimes having to wait 4 weeks for a reply, you are spoken to like you are the problem, spoken down to and you are a burden on the company for calling!

Due to slow and lack of replies this pushed our sale back a matter of weeks! Sellers threatening to pull out several times, because of lack of communication from the solicitor's no sense of urgency to move forward or even an ounce of understanding throughout the whole case! consistency is non existent in this company! Resulting in us having to record telephone conversations as it is shocking how some of the staff speak to you! These solicitors made buying our first home one of the most stressful experiences of our lives! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Absolute disgrace from start to finish! Where do I start. We was recommended these solicitors and it was the worst mistake ever using them. They dragged our process out, it took nearly a whole year to complete with no chain and as first time buyers. I felt that these solicitors could push more however was happy to just wait when we wasn't, incapable of working to a time scale.

We closed our help to buy and paid deposit 4 months before completion as we were advised to which meant we lost out on 3 months worth of extra bonus from that scheme. Then they was not even aware we paid our deposit or hehe amount we actually paid which we had to provide several times. Our completion statement had all the wrong figures and was amended twice however was still incorrect after purchase and we had to chase every day to get back money which was due back to us.

Constant battle from start to finish, to think I paid for these to help me with my purchase and it felt like we was fighting against the whole experience. Incompetent and slow, I would never use these again and would strongly recommend others to find better alternatives it will make your life so much easier!

Having a customer portal means that you are kept informed of each step of the process and can also see when each action happens and review the outcomes of searches etc. I would recommend this solicitor for anyone going through a house purchase.

Referred to fiddler and pepper via my mortgage broker for my remortgage and transfer of equity. Start to finish in around 5 weeks! Phoebe was very responsive to any queries I had and generally responded to emails on the same day usually within hours of me sending. I was kept fully informed throughout via email and could log o. To the case tracker. Nothing negative to say about them. Dealt with my remortgage very quickly and efficiently. Thank you for making it a stress free process. 100% happy and 100% recommend.

They were appointed by my mortgage company so I didn't have a huge amount of direct dealing with Leah or the rest of the staff at Fidler and Pepper. But everything was handled really efficiently and the process was very easy. Very happy with how things went.

Working in the Estate Agent Industry I deal with many different solicitors daily, in my 13 year tenure I have never once left a negative review about a firm, I am generally very understanding and appreciate the job they do and the pressure that comes with it, that some, may not understand. During my 3 month experience with this firm, they have failed on numerous occasions to reply to emails, answer telephone calls and provide what is needed in order to progress the transaction.

There own client and the mortgage advisor who recommended the firm at the time has had the same experience, this has now resulted in my client losing the house that she wanted to purchase. I would never go as far as saying don't use the company as this is not fair, however at this moment in time while the service levels are how they are I would strongly consider other options, if you were to use them I would speak to senior partner to make sure you are not treated in how both there client was and the consequents it has had on my client.

After dealing with Fidler and Pepper I would strongly recommend that you consider other options. To sell my property and to purchase an empty house and that's it, took them 7 months. The paperwork I received was either wrong or had incorrect information. Their communication was terrible, and when I finally did get hold of someone, I was just given a load of lies.

I know this as I had seen the emails from my sellers solicitors. I had to keep a record of all the wrong paperwork that had been sent to me and copies of emails as I will have to report this company. I could go on, but im getting annoyed just writing this email. So please if you do get to read this review, please use another company. This company is not worth the hassle. I promise you.

Used Fidler & Pepper to move house and had a whole list of issues which ultimately cost me the house I was purchasing when it fell through. Lack of response to emails, impossible to get hold of on the phone, searches that were unnecessary and costly, passing files over to leasehold team when it was a freehold property which added 6 weeks to the process, spelling errors in all the TR1 forms despite correcting them twice myself.

Staff off sick or having left the company but not begin told so emails ending up goodness knows where. As mentioned property purchase then feel through. When i found a new house to purchase did not sue these guys to represent me in the purchase process. The difference in service and professionalism was evident when dealing with 2 separate conveyancing teams at the same time.

Continued to sue F&P for the sale of my property as was led to believe that much of the work has already been done - when in fact it had not - had to do all the queries myself, taking 4 days holidays form work to plough through the paperwork, contact local council and write all the letters myself - and paying F&P for the privilege. i was basically doing their job for them. Missed exchange date twice due to paperwork not begin filed on time and on completion day - again deadline time was missed which meant that my daughter and i were homeless overnight. Removal had to be offloaded into storage (cost), i had to find a hotel in the middle of a pandemic (cost) and removals couldn't re-load an offload for another 3 days!

There was one outstanding issue i needed resolved and 4 months later still waiting for a resolution - i now just get - your message was deleted without being read confirmations. Still waiting original invoice and receipt for services. literally had a breakdown over the service from these guys and had many sleepless nights and shed more tears than i care to recall. They made a stressful process even more stressful. I cannot recommend and have filed formal complaints about the service.

Our remortgage was handled by Marissa Huffen who worked so hard to get everything completed within timescale. Marissa was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive and helpful throughout the process and always responded to emails with transparent advice and guidance and gave regular updates as well as ensuring the case tracker was always up to date. Overall the service from Fidler and Pepper has been fantastic.

The remortgage process was handled quickly and efficiently with no stress or bother to us. The case tracker is a fantastic tool as well as the ability to upload docs directly to their website. But the biggest bonus has been Marissa, efficent, professional, helpful, kind and supportive throughout. Thanks so much for all of your help and guidance. I would highly recommend.
