Services
Family
Report
Our highly experienced team will assist you in all dealings with Social Services and the Local Authority. Straightforward and frank advice whether you wish to issue proceedings in relation to children or have been notified that proceedings have been issued against you. Representation for those cases where the CSA does not have the power to deal with child maintenance such as income above a specific level or where the absent parent lives abroad. We are able to offer advice and representation on the dissolution of a civil partnership and related financial/children matters.
Care Proceedings
Report
At Bakers we believe that children are better brought up by their family and everything possible should be done to ensure that this can be achieved. Parents who have their children taken into care are entitled to free legal representation and we encourage you to contact us as soon as social services become involved with your family.
Children
Report
Issues involving your children can be very stressful and emotional. Here at Bakers Solicitors we understand the challenge that parents face when you are in a dispute about your children. We can represent those who wish to issue proceedings in relation to their children, as well as those who have been notified that proceedings have been issued against them.
Child Maintenance
Report
In most cases the Child Maintenance Service (CMS) or the former Child Support Agency (CSA) will assist, but in some cases the CMS does not have the power to deal with child maintenance and therefore applications to the court may still be necessary. This could be where the absent parent lives abroad, has a high level of income which is above a specific level, or where you are seeking a contribution to school fees.
