I instructed Ashley Wilson after another firm of solicitors left my house purchase hanging in the balance due to a complete lack of interest and activity. The difference between the other solicitor and Ashley Wilson was night and day. Right from the off Tony and Michelle were responsive, very attentive and completely turned things around for me. I genuinely feel like anything I write here will still undersell just how amazing they were at getting this deal over the line.

Given the lack of action on other solicitors behalf we were completely resigned to having to rent somewhere to live over Christmas but they managed to get us exchanged and in the house with five days to spare. Tony/Michelle thanks again. You guys are absolute superstars.

Ashley Wilson was first recommended to us by the estate agency our family purchased a property from 5 years ago. At the time Joanna Botley represented us and it was such a pleasant experience! I don't remember ever having to ask something twice, very often the questions were answered before I even thought of them! This year when we decided to sell a property we of course reached out to Ashley Wilson given our previous very positive experience, Nathan Woods represented us and did an equally fantastic job!

The sale was not smooth at all as we experienced a number of issues from the buyer side, Nathan gave very valuable advices and I felt that he really had our best interest in mind. If I could give this firm no stars I would, they are a truly awful firm. This opinion is based on the professionalism (or lack there of) of their senior partner and my experiences of dealing with him. When he wasn't full of empty promises, he was just ignoring calls and emails, and this went for 6 months. Another partner I had dealings with wasn't any better. I have dealt with a number of solicitors over the years and this firm is by far the worst i have dealt with. I would strongly advise anyone to use another firm.

Stay well away! I'm sure that 99% of the time they manage to do their job properly, but you don't want them working for you if things go wrong or they make a mistake. We had the misfortune of having them manage the sale of our house/purchase of a new property in 2012/13. One of the associates exchanged contracts before ensuring that all of the mortgage company's conditions were met, and the whole thing almost fell through! Unbeknownst to us, the new house had no buildings insurance in place at the time of the surveys, and of course no-one wanted to insure when potential problems were found.

This amateur error not only almost cost us our deposit but also the sale on the house, and meant that we wasted 2 months' rent waiting for the senior partner to 'sort it out'. It was such a stressful time, I was pregnant, and it looked as if we would be left without a roof over our head when his entire team couldn't find an insurer.

I eventually took it on myself, and after a few hours on the internet found an insurance company that would meet the mortgage conditions. Complete ineptitude! At the end of it all, they walked away paying only the interest that had accrued from the delayed sale, without any damages and happily pocketed their full fee! Not once did they even apologise for the mistake - calculated coldheartedness!

Not the kind of service you'd expect from a company who claim that you can:: '.rely on us as a good friend. someone who never lets you down. is always there for you in a crisis. listens to you. helps you overcome your problems. and stands with you as you share your successes'. Beware, beware, beware!
