Finding a law firm to handle your divorce is a hugely important decision to make at what is often a very difficult time in your life. James Pirrie and his colleagues have been a steady and supportive team. They have been responsive and the satisfactory way in which the divorce has been resolved has been in large part due to their skill, their sensitivity and their willingness to listen to how I and my ex husband wanted to resolve the dissolution of our marriage. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

James and his colleagues have divorced me twice (read on!), with the very best, most efficient, kindest and most competent support I and we could have wished for. The first of my divorces was so cleanly and well done that my first wife, 13 years later in 2013, became my third wife, and we remain both happily remarried and warmly in touch with James and FLiP. There is a rather less happy second ex-wife, but although another story, that was done well too, through a lawyer in James's network.

As psychotherapists now specialising also in couples work, my first-and-third wife, being the same person, and I have recommended James and FLiP to a number of clients needing good divorce support, and the team as expected have excelled in the quality and competence of their service. Although I wouldn't necessarily recommend getting divorced and remarried quite as often as I have done, if you have to, I cannot think of any team better to work with than FLiP.

Avoid. How James Pirrie is on the top legal lists is beyond me. He may be a nice chap and be very good in an amicable divorce but in an acrimonious one he is totally out of his depth and incompetent. He may as well have been acting for the other side. He never fought my corner and later confessed he didn't actually read my emails. Needless to say, I have brought a negligence claim against FLIP for their poor service. Of all the expensive lawyers in London, don't go here. Find someone who wants to fight your corner rather than rack up 300,000 of fees yet produce nothing for it.
