Prescribing solely on the basis of an online questionnaire or email without a prior physician-patient relationship does not constitute acceptable standard of care and is prohibited. It is also unprofessional conduct to prescribe based solely on a patient-supplied history that a physician licensed in this state received by telephone, facsimile, or electronic format.
