Accidents at Work

Accidents at work can happen for a number of reasons. They may be caused by faulty or dangerous equipment, lack of risk assessments or appropriate training, unsafe manual handling procedures or even physical assault. Illnesses or diseases may also develop after long exposure to harmful substances in the workplace.

If your employer breaches one of the statutory duties and contributes towards the accident, they or their insurer may be liable to pay compensation for your damages and injuries. Same if you’ve had an accident and you think you did not receive suitable protective equipment or sufficient safety training you may be entitled to claim compensation.

Our specialist personal injury solicitors can deal with all types of workplace accident claims ranging from:

soft tissue damage
spinal injuries
brain injuries
catastrophic injuries

From Our Website

Our offices are closed to the public; however all of our staff are now working remotely from home with full access to our internal systems, so you can still get in touch with us on our usual phone numbers and email addresses. Watermans Solicitors are one of the leading personal injury firms in Scotland. We act only for people who have been injured in an accident, and never for the at-fault party, nor insurance companies who defend these cases. Our expert team are committed to doing everything we can to put it right for our clients following an accident.

Watermans Solicitors boast a team of highly qualified solicitors, paralegals and claims handlers, specialising in personal injury claims. Using our expertise they secure millions of pounds in compensation for our clients each year.

You may have heard this term used in various personal injury adverts. The actual, legal term being referred to is called 'conditional fee agreement' however; 'no win no fee' seems to be more widely used. No win no fee means that you don't have to be out of pocket, and also if your case is unsuccessful you won't be charged a penny. If you win, the at-fault party will cover the legal costs, including fees, court costs, and other expenses. Your solicitor will also be entitled to a fee, which is known as the 'success fee'.
