From Our Website
We are a local Law Firm serving the needs of the Local Community in Flitwick, Ampthill and the surrounding towns and villages. Our roots go back more than 30 years, when we began trading as Barry O'Dell Solicitors. Our Firm has grown consistently and steadily on the basis of our accessibility and reputation for Client Care. To us each Client is an individual and each matter receives individual and personalised attention.
Penelope (Penny) is an experienced solicitor, having qualified in 2005. Prior to entering the legal profession, she worked in Human Resources both in the public and private sector, as well as almost ten years as an administrator in a high street fashion chain. After completing her law degree Penny began working at the Firm as a paralegal, before commencing her Training Contract, and upon qualifying as a solicitor remained at the Firm heading up the Conveyancing as well as the Private Client Departments.
We provide first class, practical legal advice for all aspects relating to family law, including divorce and separation, and financial disputes and settlements, to include advice on pensions and complex assets. We also deal with disputes concerning unmarried couples.
Buying and selling a home is the largest transaction that most people will encounter during their life time. The team here at Rebecca L Faret Solicitors are here to make that process as smooth and hassle free as possible. We take pride in the fact that we hold the Conveyancing Quality Standard from the Law Society. Whether you are a first time buyer, moving on, down-sizing or adding to your portfolio the team here at Rebecca L Faret Solicitors can assist you with all the elements of your sale or purchase in a professional and efficient manner.
It is never too early to begin thinking about who you would like to manage your affairs and make decisions on your behalf, should you become incapable of doing so yourself. Having a Lasting Power of Attorney in place in respect of your property and financial affairs and health and welfare is something that we believe all of our clients should consider, irrespective of their age or current state of health. If you were to suddenly become unwell, it is important that you have a nominated person whom you trust in place to deal with the administrative aspects of your life which you may take for granted such as paying bills, collecting your pension and even your care arrangements.
Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy. As well as this being a very emotional time, there are often legal formalities that you will need to deal with such as applying for grants of probate and dealing with the administration of the deceased's estate. Such formalities can seem very daunting and can be a big responsibility but our experienced and sensitive team can offer you not only the assistance you require in respect of these legal formalities but also provide emotional support throughout the process, irrespective of the circumstances of your case and size of the estate.
Whether you are an employee who wants advice about their employment, or an employer seeking advice about dealing with employee matters, we offer practical and relevant advice on a range of employment issues, including grievance matters, disciplinary proceedings, employment contracts and termination of employment, including settlement agreements. Penelope Derosaire has a number of years' experience in acting for and advising clients on employment issues. She will provide you with clear advice and guidance on all your options as to how to proceed with the matter, including negotiation, mediation and if necessary support you all the way to a hearing.
Whether you're buying, selling, renting or leasing, we can help you make your move as smooth as possible. We provide a full service including dealing with your chosen lender, completing and submitting all the necessary legal forms, and dealing with the eventual registration - all at a fixed, competitive price. Unlike some other firms, there are no hidden charges - the price you are quoted is the price you pay. Penny deals with residential property matters including sales, purchases and re-mortgages.
