From Our Website

Paul Rooney Solicitors has been helping customers with compensation claims for over 40 years. We take pride in getting positive results and have won over 100 million in compensation for our clients with experience in housing disrepair, reclaiming care home fees, road traffic accidents, injuries in the workplace and medical negligence. So whatever your claim, the chances are our solicitors have handled a similar case before. Our solicitors will keep you up to date with the progress of your claim throughout, and will answer any questions you may have about the claims process.

Originally founded in Liverpool as the Paul Rooney Partnership, Paul Rooney Solicitors was acquired by the Antony Hodari Legal Services Group in 2012. The group has been offering services to the public for over 40 years. Initially a general practice it has specialises in claimant litigation. Antony studied at Birmingham University, qualifying as a solicitor in 1981. He spent three years working in the family textile business before establishing Antony Hodari & Co in 1984. He is the driving force behind the company's strategy and an experienced housing expert.

In our day-to-day lives we rely on others to help us stay safe. The law requires Local Authorities to inspect, maintain and repair roads and pavements and business owners to inspect, maintain and repair premises to ensure that members of the public are not in any danger. Usually, the person or organisation that owns or leases the area is legally responsible for providing an environment free of risk. Yet, despite this legal duty of care, accidents still happen and everyday people suffer injury in public places.

Landlords are required by law to ensure that your property is kept in good repair. When this does not happen, we may be able to help by taking action on your behalf under Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. The Act covers all shorthold and secure tenancies, whether the property is owned by a social landlord i.e. Local Authorities and Housing Associations, or a private landlord, which could be an individual landlord or a company. If you have suffered any inconvenience, injury or illness as a result of disrepair, Paul Rooney Solicitors will work hard to help you receive the maximum compensation as well as making sure the repairs to the property are completed.

Accidents happen but if you are injured and it was not your fault, it is only fair that you should be compensated for pain, suffering and inconvenience incurred. You're entitled to claim against another party, whether that is your employer, a colleague at work, another driver, a shop owner or a local authority - if they have failed in their duty of care to prevent injury to others, it may be possible to claim compensation. As a passenger on a bus which has been in an accident, you may be eligible to make a personal injury claim.
