At JFH Law, we understand that planning for the future is not always easy, and the temptation to postpone decision making to another day can be overwhelming. However, for individuals with family responsibilities and businesses or assets to protect, this simply isn't an option. If you are concerned about your own, or a loved one's ability to act independently due to ill health or injury, we are able to advise on creating a lasting power of attorney (LPA), or how to protect a person's finances, welfare, and health through the Court of Protection.

When litigation cannot be avoided our experienced team of solicitors and barristers can represent you through the duration of any civil litigation, ensuring that you receive a comprehensive and cost effective service. The dispute resolution team at JFH Law has expertise in advising companies and individuals on all aspects of contractual issues and disputes. We deal with disputes relating to all types of commercial contracts including issues relating to payment and financial obligations, agency and distribution, and sale, delivery, and hire of goods.

If you have been offered a settlement agreement from your employer you need to act quickly to ensure your rights are protected; this will involve seeking the advice of a lawyer. The good news is that employers will often contribute towards the legal costs of seeking advice on the terms and effect of the settlement. In most circumstances, this fee will cover advising on the agreement as well as advice on your claims, so you can consider the reasonableness of the offer on the table. A settlement agreement is a legally binding contract between you and your employer which settles any current claims and/or prevents you from pursuing any claims in the future.
