Family Law

Family law issues concern most people at some stage in their lives, and can be extremely emotive and stressful for everybody concerned.

We offer FREE ½ hour initial advice appointments.

We have a large team of expert family Solicitors based in Nottingham and across Nottinghamshire who are all members of Resolution and who can offer advice in all areas of family law. Following relationship breakdown, we can advise about divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships and division of money, property and pensions. In addition, our expert family lawyers can advise parents, grandparents and other family members about issues concerning children. We also offer advice in connection with the preparation of pre- nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements if required.

We are able to advise and signpost in connection with a number of dispute resolution options including mediation, collaborative law and, if necessary, Court proceedings. We offer face to face and telephone appointments with our family law Solicitors across Nottinghamshire, in Nottingham city and also in Mansfield, Retford, Worksop and Newark. Our family Solicitors can assess eligibility for family legal aid and can also discuss other funding options with you, depending on your circumstances.

Property Law

Whatever property transaction you are involved in, Jackson Quinn can help you. If you are buying, selling, re-mortgaging or transferring Residential property, you will need a Lawyer to help you through the complicated process. If you are involved with Commercial property, including buying, selling and leasing, again you will need a specialist Lawyer to assist you with the transaction.

Jackson Quinn Solicitors will deal with the whole process from taking initial instructions from you, dealing with the legal process right up to completion of your matter and beyond, taking away the stress involved in what should be an exciting time for you.

From Our Website

Established in 1984 operating from a single office, Jackson Quinn has since grown rapidly, extending to a network of five offices and continually expanding the range of services provided. Peter Quinn began the firm, then called Quinn's Solicitors, in 1984. Linda Jackson joined Peter in April 1985 and the name changed to Jackson Quinn. The first office was on Canal Street in Nottingham, taking over the premises operated by Quinn's Solicitors, Peter's previous firm. The Worksop office opened in the Autumn of 1985, with both offices dealing with civil, criminal, family and property law.

Looking after children can be a challenge to any parents. Sometimes social services may become involved with a family if there are concerns about the health and well being of a child or children. If this happens, or if children are already in the care of the Local Authority, access to legal advice from an expert child care Solicitor is clearly essential, and we can provide that at Jackson Quinn. We have expert family child care Solicitors based in Nottingham and across Nottinghamshire. We understand that sometimes you may need urgent advice about issues relating to Care Proceedings, social services involvement and child protection issues.

The office is conveniently placed on Watson Road within 2 minutes walk from Bridge Street. If you are travelling from our old offices on Potter Street you will find us next to Bo-Kay Florists on the right hand side, about 100 metres short of the traffic lights on the Bridge Place Junction. From Bridge Street/Carlton Road/Gateford Road you will find us just around the corner on the left.

We use facilities at the Northgate Business Centre in Newark. This office is not occupied by us on a daily basis so please telephone for assistance before visiting us. The address may however be used as a ‘mail-drop' at any time. Travelling away from the town centre, along Northgate, you will find the Business Centre on the right hand side, just before the junction with Queen's Road and almost opposite the Old Malt Shovel Public House. There is some limited on-site car parking.
